«Holy three kings»
On the tomorrow's "Epiphany day" are consumed in Switzerland more than 1.5 million Epiphany cakes. What does it have with the «saints to three kings» on itself? Background information more than three words and three mistakes.
First they were no "saints", but moors. Secondly is not sure whether they came too third. After Matte these could have been as a good two or four. Only the number of the presents is known. And thirdly these were no kings, but scholars and astrologers. Three rulers still seem in the Christmas history really, under it also two kings.
Heroes
if is the first one. He had without doubt imperious gifts. No other king in Israel except Salome helped the country too such to economic impetus. He decorated the whole country with stately buildings, fortresses, weapon places and armories. Under his order the temple reached the biggest, external magnificence.
However, who gave him only the epithet «the tallness»? Yes, largely he was in the lie, in dissembling, in faithlessness, in word fragility, in the bloodshed. Without number are the victims of his long reign. In quite a lot of morning his servants had the job to wipe off the fresh pools of blood of the victims of the marble ground of his palace. Even his dearly loved Mrs. Marianne and his own sons counted to his victims.
On his deathbed he ordered a mass execution of innocent, so that somebody would cry if he himself died. However, in his final agony he still had to cloister to it as outdoors before the palace the people broke out in cheering when it got to know from his desperate state. Heroes, the first king's shape of the Christmas history, can be used by the power of the bad person as it had been forecast.
Augustus
if the second ruler, a Roman emperor is called. He was completely different than Heroes the tallness from whom he said once: «It would be more pleasant to be the Jew's king's pig than his son.» Augustus was a clever man. He was popular and tore at the same time the highest power which was awarded up to now only the Roman people, in itself. Still he was not happy. His daughter Julia from the third marriage led a vice-like life, so that he had to exile them. The sons of his fourth wife brought only to strife and evil in his house.
When he died, he asked his friends who were with him: «Have I well played my role in the life?» When they affirmed, he continued: «Now applause claps to me, because now my role is played!» Thus he died in the year 14 A.D. 18th of August, to the month which was named after him. How God probably judged his role? A good actor was he, however, the king for whom the humanity waited, he on no account was.
Jesus
if the third is in the alliance. Already the manners from the Orient called him in such a way. They asked in Jerusalem: «Where is the newborn king of the Jews?» (The Bible, Matte, chapter 2, verse 2). On the cross there hung the sign: «Jesus, king of the Jews» (Matte 27.37). He himself said from himself: «To Me all power is given in heaven and on earth» (Matte 28.18).
Jesus was THE KING. Still he lay in his birth poor in a cradle. No shine of earthly wealth existed. The presents of the manners were sufficient for his family just to finance the escape from Heroes to Egypt. It is quite noteworthy that God to them handed over exactly this what could be used at the market everywhere as payment means and barter means and had at a small place place.
Jesus carried no crown, pulled no sword, stated no war army and used no power. And, nevertheless, his bare appearance, his bare word has a revolution in the world produced against which all revolutions of the world history grow pale.
She also pulls even today circles. She goes on, until the whole world to him lies at feet. Before him all knees will bend and call to him that he is man (The Bible, Philippe, chapter 2, verses 10-11). And he will rule in all eternity (revelation 11.15). It also is even today a prerogative to bend the knees before this king and to serve dearly him. Just as it also the manners from the Orient acted (Matte 2.11).
