No, the gift shop assistants have not invented Advent. Who wants to find the sense of Advent on the Christmas fair, needs a fine good nose.

The infant Jesus comes, pleases to you everybody! The December weeks stand in the sign of this call. For many he has a question mark: Joy? - In stressful times quite strenuous.

However, joy is announced. Yes, even in the (multicultural) school room; the last years have proved this. Since Christmas is for everybody. The people who have opened to the Christianity know around the big light which shines in the darkness: God has become a person.

This allowance of God people could not think up. It is no legend. It happened in Bethlehem. It is historical events - with a miraculous Vorgeschichte.* Jesus it was born because God's mind had worked.
Yes of God to the people in the darkness

As a small baby he came into the world - and at the same time as Christ, as a God's authorised representative who should save the people from her forlornness. This is why the angels appeared at the holy night. The Yes God to the people in the darkness, the miracle that he identifies because of pure love with those which know not further - this makes Christmas the present.

Why before it Advent, four-week Advent? (The word means arrival, arrival.) for at least two reasons. First the perjury belongs to the party. Christians expect that he comes again to the earth, this time brings not as a baby, but as a ruler, the justice and peace. Therefore the shining‚ halleluiah’ in Handles‚ Messiah': God also lets not put today the world in her misery and bellyaching.

We wait for it during the Advent: We wait for this arrival of the human son of the sky, on Jesus Christ, in magnificence, with the angels of God.
