The birth of Jesus - a sensation

The birth of Jesus - a sensation

The authors of the new testament look at the birth of Jesus as an unusual event in the history of the humanity, and not as a usual birth of a child. In the reports special names are used for the newborn child, under it Immanuel.

The new testament understands the birth Jesus as a miraculous proof of the love of God to the people. Christians believe, God father has sent his son in the world to live here as a person. „One will call him Immanuel - that is God with 'us“. God came into the world in the person Jesus to get involved in us. He came to live among us, to divide our joys and worries.
Immanuel - God comes close to us

This picture of the God who includes himself in the world completely differs from any other God's picture. Many Greek philosophers looked at the apathy (literally: Suffering freedom) as the highest divine virtue. Their gods had no empathy; they did not look after the people and her sufferings. This cold God's picture stands in the crass contrast to Jesus who is a God in the need and in pain of human life; that which has come from the sky to release us from our sufferings.
Completely person …

The author of the Hebrew's letter in the new testament says that Jesus can completely understand us because he has become a person (Hebrew 2,14-18). Jesus has a date of birth and a birthplace. His life a proof of the fact that God is not a distant God but to us is accompanied. He has got involved with us, he knows what means the life for every singles.
… and, besides, God

In the same letter one says, Jesus himself is a revelation of God; he shows us the being of God. Because in Jesus Got a person was, we can understand God with human concepts, with concepts which everybody can grasp. Jesus gives us the best possible picture of God. This picture shows that he loves us and is ready to move his love in actions.

The report of Lukas by the birth of Jesus contains the song of Maria in which she praises God as she finds out that she should get a child. Maria speaks in this song of God as her rescuer who will do a lot of good by the child whom she carries in the body to his people:
Coup of the relations

"He accomplishes powerful actions with his arm: He scatters who are completely an arrogance in the heart; he overthrows the powerful figures of the throne and raises the low. He presents the starving with his gifts and lets the empires come away empty-handed. He takes care farm-hand's Israel and thinks of his compassion" (Lukas 1,51-54).

Lukas continues the thought in his Gospel that God gets involved in the world, still 1 step. Jesus did not die only to gain the experience of human existence, but - to save by his suffering and death - the people of God from all forms of the unfreedom and slavery and to release it for a new life. Jesus had come with the broadcasting to save all people.
A modest beginning

Many Jews expected, the Messiah would come with big shine and evident magnificence. Thus explains itself that king Heroes was confused a little bit. He could not understand that a king has appeared in his empire, without he had got to know a little bit from it. Jesus came into the world under modest circumstances, in a stable, not in a palace.

And: Jesus did not come to remove the king Heroes as a political ruler. How his simple life beginning makes clear, Jesus von Got was not sent as the Messiah's king expected from some. Not few Jews expected an inspiring fighter's shape which would expel the Romans and recapture Jerusalem. Instead, Jesus pointed out the people to the need to state God always and in all situations obedience and loyalty.

In his whole life it was for Jesus less about the tallness and powerful figures than around the simple folk as they are called in Maria's hymn of praise: the arms, the hungry, the disadvantaged people and the unloved.
