Several miracles walk at the head of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem not far from Jerusalem. However, the child is not welcome: Hardly born, his parents with him must flee. A warning dream saved Jesus before the murderous swords of the soldiers.

The circumstances of the birth of Jesus are very mysterious. It is from the divine intervention the speech. Maria, a virgin, becomes pregnant from the holy mind. Die Umstände der Geburt Jesu sind sehr geheimnisvoll. Es ist vom göttlichen Eingreifen die Rede. Maria, eine Jungfrau, wird vom Heiligen Geist schwanger. Doch auf ihren Verlobten Josef wirkt das wenig glaubhaft. Er hätte Maria sofort verlassen, wenn Gott ihn nicht durch einen nächtlichen Traum davon abgehalten hätte.

Knapp dem Tod entkommen

In der kleinen Stadt Bethlehem kommt Jesus schließlich zur Welt. Aus dem Morgenland reisen Sterndeuter an. Sie wollen, wie sie sagen, dem "neugeborenen König der Juden" die Ehre erweisen. Als König Herodes, der damals über die Provinz Judäa herrschte, davon erfährt, lässt er kurzerhand alle Knaben unter zwei Jahren in der Provinz umbringen. Josef und Maria werden von Gott in einem Traum gewarnt und können rechtzeitig nach Ägypten fliehen. Dort verbringt Jesus seine ersten Jahre, dann kehrt die Familie in den nordisraelischen Heimatort Nazareth zurück.

Gescheite Fragen

Josef arbeitet nach glaubwürdigen Quellen ein Zimmermann, die Mutter kümmert sich um Haushalt und Kinder. Alles spricht dafür, dass Jesus ein ganz normaler Junge ist, der seine Eltern auch mal stresst. So tauchte der 12-Jährige nach seiner Bar Mitzwa, einer Art Konfirmation, in Jerusalem kurzfristig unter. Erst nach drei Tagen finden ihn seine Eltern in der Tempelanlage. Dort stellt er den Theologen viel gescheitere Fragen, als diese sie von einem Jungen seines Alters erwarten. Von seinen Eltern zur Rede gestellt, lässt er etwas von seiner göttlichen Herkunft durchblicken. Er sei hier schließlich im Haus „seines Vaters“, rechtfertigt Jesus sich.
